Your personal data

Christian Response to Eastern Europe (CREE) complies with its obligations under GDPR by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure; by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data; and by respecting any request for withdrawal from future contact.

We use your personal data for the following reasons to help us benefit disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Eastern Europe:

To maintain our accounts and records, including claiming of Gift Aid from HMRC

To inform you of news, events and activities related to CREE

Legal basis for processing your personal data

Under GDPR regulations there are legitimate reasons why an organisation like CREE may store or process personal data, including “Consent”, “Legal” and “Legitimate Interest”, summarised as follows:

Explicit consent is provided before Christian Response processes personal data. We do use your personal data except when voluntarily given to us. We fully respect any request to unsubscribe from our email or mailing lists.

Processing of personal data is necessary for carrying out CREE’s legal obligations, for example processing Gift Aid claims. There is no disclosure of personal data by CREE to a third party without consent, unless we are required to do so to comply with a legal requirement.
Legitimate Interest. We may send you details of CREE’s news, events and fund-raising activities provided you have voluntarily given us your contact details for this purpose.
