Newsflash

We are delighted to report the Aid Truck has cleared the border in Moldova and has been unloaded. Everything can now be distributed to those who so eagerly have awaited this truck. 


 

We are extremely grateful to everyone who came to our store in Exeter to help load the 40 tonne articulated lorry, no small task as we pack every inch from floor to ceiling. We are also very appreciative to the unsung team of sorters under the guidance of Kathy Dupré who diligently look carefully at every item to make certain it is of good quality and then pack them into coloured bags ready to dispatch. To fill the truck they have many thousands of garments to sort. Without Kathy and “the team” we could not help the hundreds of poor families, orphanages and the children who attend our soup kitchens.  Thank you all.

Finally, every item that we sort has been donated by someone. Another big thank you to those who have donated clothing, some new  but mostly good quality used, and all the other items, medical and practical.

Those in Moldova are so very grateful for everything we send and are excited at the prospect of the truck’s arrival. Many families supported will be getting personal family parcels from their English families.
